Originating in Japan, Shiatsu means "Finger pressure". This modality is an adaptation of Zen Shiatsu, and is done over clothing, with the client lying on a futon mat on the floor, or on a treatment table . People often find this treatment relaxing, rejuvenating, and grounding. It can help ease tight muscles and multiple treatments can help ease aching joints and promote greater mobility in some cases. I use direct pressure, gentle stretches and rotations, working energy points and Meridian channels, to promote a healthy balanced energetic flow in my clients. This is not a "one-size-fits-all" treatment - it is adapted to the individual requirements of each individual, and further adapted to their dynamic energetic patterns at the time of each treatment. (Please note that this Shiatsu massage is given by a Student-level Practitioner). (Treatments within 5-mile radius of St Helens have no additional travel charge. Between 5-20 miles, a surcharge of 45 pence per mile is payable (minus the 5 mile radius). If you'd like to book a treatment further than 20 miles from St Helens, please contact us to make arrangements and receive a quote (as travel time also becomes a factor)).

For rescheduling requests made 5 working days before an appointment or earlier, there is no cancellation fee, and the deposit will be applied to the rescheduled appointment.. Please note that deposits are non-refundable, other than when we cancel a session, in which case you will be offered a full refund of all monies already paid for the cancelled treatment, including deposit amounts. For an in-clinic appointment, where a change/cancellation is made between 5 working days and 48h before a booking, a standard 50% charge will be applied, to cover any room hire cancellation charges applied by the venue, as well as making changes. For at-home appointments, cancellations up to 3 working days beforehand will receive a full refund. Cancellations 2-3 days before a scheduled appointment will have a 50% refund, and where 24h or less before an appointment time will not receive a refund (unless at the practitioner's discretion).
