Service Description
A gentle, relaxing, health-promoting full-body massage, tailored to support pregnant women, from trimester 2 until childbirth, and aiding in postpartum recovery - in the comfort and convenience of your own home! Massage during pregnancy can alleviate symptoms, help to ease and soothe tightness, pressure on joints, organs and ligaments, and calms stresses. Regular massage during a pregnancy can benefit Mothers, as well as their unborn baby, and supports the Mother emotionally and physiologically - and the endorphins it brings to the Mother are passed to baby as well. It can help childbirth to be easier, as well as having benefits for postpartum recovery. Massage also encourages the release of oxytocin, which is a pain reducing hormone - providing pain relief during labour and childbirth. Some of the benefits of regular massage during pregnancy are: 1. Stimulation of the blood circulation: bringing nutrients and fluids to the organs of the body, and to the baby. 2. Lymphatic drainage: detoxification, eliminating toxins and waste, and reducing oedema. 3. Promoting healthy digestion; 4. Releasing muscular tension and compression, 5. Helping avoid varicose veins; 6. Inducing deep relaxation and reducing emotional stress; 7. Helping maintain a healthy, balanced blood pressure. (Treatments within 5-mile radius of St Helens have no additional travel charge. Between 5-20 miles, a surcharge of 45 pence per mile is payable (minus the 5 mile radius). If you'd like to book a treatment further than 20 miles from St Helens, please contact us to make arrangements and receive a quote (as travel time also becomes a factor)).
Cancellation Policy
For rescheduling requests made 5 working days before an appointment or earlier, there is no cancellation fee, and the deposit will be applied to the rescheduled appointment.. Please note that deposits are non-refundable, other than when we cancel a session, in which case you will be offered a full refund of all monies already paid for the cancelled treatment, including deposit amounts. For an in-clinic appointment, where a change/cancellation is made between 5 working days and 48h before a booking, a standard 50% charge will be applied, to cover any room hire cancellation charges applied by the venue, as well as making changes. For at-home appointments, cancellations up to 3 working days beforehand will receive a full refund. Cancellations 2-3 days before a scheduled appointment will have a 50% refund, and where 24h or less before an appointment time will not receive a refund (unless at the practitioner's discretion).
